A 22-year-old mother told police that shots fired into her residence awoke her children and shattered a sliding glass door.
Police around 2:45 a.m. responded to the 5600 block of Hoover Avenue after receiving gunshot complaints. Upon arrival, the victim said she heard a dispute outside. She heard two gunshots, and then she said she heard cars speeding away.
According to a police report obtained Sunday, she soon discovered the sliding glass door at her rear patio was shattered and there was a bullet hole in the north wall of her kitchen.
There was no suspect information provided to police. No one inside the residence was injured.

Montgomery County's German Township Police Department has announced plans to conduct a sobriety check point in the coming week.
The department has not revealed the exact time, location or date of the checkpoint. Officers will also watch for proper seatbelt usage at the checkpoint.
Officers from Clay Township, Miami Township and deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office will assist in patrol.

The Dayton Bomb Squad was called to Troy after someone found a strange item with a burning wick Sunday morning.
The item was found on Peebles Road near the intersection of State Route 718 sometime after 8 a.m. John Scott of Troy spotted the item and called for help.
"I saw a bottle on fire with a wick sticking out of it, so right away I thought it was a molotov cocktail," Scott said.
The Troy Fire Department asked for assistance from the bomb squad when they could not safely remove the device from the road, the Troy Fire Department said. The bomb squad emptied the bottle's contents.
The incident remains under investigation.
